As you enter the main level of the home, you are struck with the openness of the floor plan of the sunken living room, dining area and kitchen. The expanse of windows lends a light and airy feeling to this wonderful vacation rental house.
The living room in Magnolia Lodge has a cathedral ceiling with an impressive stone fireplace from floor to ceiling. There is an abundance of seating with a unique pink sectional sofa, large overstuffed chair with ottoman, and two large leather recliners. This will be a great room for everyone to gather and make plans for the following day, maybe catch up with your favorite show movie or game on the cable TV with a DVD and VCR.
Step up into the dining area with its double set of sliding glass doors that exit to the deck. The dining table seats 8 comfortably with additional seating at the drop down bar. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and will make meal and snack preparation a breeze.
You can prepare anything from a family sit down meal to a light snack in this fully equipped kitchen. Check out the bay window with its display of magnolia accents. In addition to the green, mauve, and white dishes, this home also has a set of magnolia dishes.
On this same level of the vacation rental home is the master bedroom with king size bed and TV. Behind folding glass doors is your spacious full bathroom with a sunken whirlpool tub. You have your only private entrance to the deck through sliding glass doors.
From the master bedroom and dining area sliding glass doors lead out to the deck. This wrap around deck has a porch swing, bench for two and a wrought iron alfresco table with peacock back chairs.
The bubbling waters of the 6 person hot tub is a great way to relax after a day of hiking, shopping or visiting Dollywood. An extended octagonal shaped deck with seating on five sides has yet another table and chairs. The charcoal grill stands close by ready for grilling those steaks, chicken, or favorite foods. From the deck there is a back yard where the children can explore and play.
Descend the stairs to the lower level which has 3 bedrooms with king size beds, private TVs and two bathrooms. The game room has lots of seating with two chairs and loveseat, pool table, and card table with four chairs. Your family or group can fellowship and enjoy challenging games of billiards and cards. An old fashion wood burning stove with stone wall behind it provides warmth and comfort. The sauna has ample room for those who want to energize after shopping or exploring the Great Smoky Mountains.
The third level floor has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The first bedroom has 2 queen size beds with access to private deck. The other two bedrooms share a deck and one of the bedrooms has a king size bed while the other has 2 queen size beds. From this level, there is a baloney overlooking the living room with a comfy chair - great place to slow down and meditate.
Although the Magnolia Lodge has all the amenities of home that will tempt you to spend as much time as possible here, Gatlinburg with its quaint shops and great restaurants is just minutes away. You won't want to miss the opportunity to drive through Cades Cove which is nature's paradise and its historical museum.
